WAREHOUSE PERSON Canby
Electrical utility construction company located in Canby immediately seeking Warehouse Person to work under direction of Warehouse Manager to maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
Experience Required:
Two years related experience in a warehouse environment;
Experience with inventory software;
Knowledge of methods and techniques of inventory maintenance;
Able to operate several types of lift trucks; and
Able to lift 50lbs.

Moving materials and product from receiving / storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas;
Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style and color or product code;
Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method;
Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times. Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe for customer and employee traffic;
Wearing the proper and required safety equipment;
Operate business software effectively; and
Maintain stock inventory and warehouse in a safe, clean and orderly condition; participate in warehouse inventory.

UTILITY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER Canby
Wilson Construction Company has an immediate opening in our Canby, OR office for an experienced Utility Construction Project Manager with a positive, results-oriented attitude and the experience to provide valuable input to project teams.
Responsibilities include working with project teams to provide technical and project management leadership on large, fast-paced utility line and substation construction projects. Duties will include the developing, planning, coordinating and the fulfillment of all technical requirements related to assigned projects. The candidate must possess the ability to coordinate all project communication with the project owner and represent the company in day to day project tasks and activities.
Requirements include:
Eight years of progressively responsible office and field management or technical services experience related to utility engineering and construction, including experience in mid-level management;
Minimum three years of experience as a lead project manager;

Proficiency in MS Office. Microsoft Project and Primavera skills are beneficial;

ELECTRICAL SUBSTATION CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER / ENGINEER Canby
Wilson Construction Company has an immediate opening in our Canby, Oregon headquarter office for a Substation Construction Project Manager / Engineer with a positive, results-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities include working with existing customers and establishing new customers to successfully bid, and manage electrical substation construction projects, as well as direct field personnel, and provide overall supervision and support. This project manager / engineer shall be involved in value engineering and problem solving as it relates to the construction of electrical substations, and must understand and develop construction plans and procedures to ensure a successful construction project.
This candidate will report to the VP of Operations and will communicate directly with the owner to represent the company in numerous business related activities for the betterment of the project and organization. Duties to include estimating, contract management, change order and RFI management, project submittals, and all other requirements and duties involved in managing a substation construction project from commencement to completion.
Requirements include:
Must have at least 8 years of experience in project management (mid to senior level management) related primarily to the construction of electrical substations;
Extensive knowledge of substation functions and equipment from exterior yard equipment to interior control house electronics and devices;
Prior experience in engineering and construction of electrical substations;
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Construction Management;
Proficiency in MS Office. Microsoft Project and Primavera skills are beneficial;

QUALITY CONTROL FIELD MONITOR - Canby
Seeking a Quality Control Field Monitor to deliver accurate and detailed quality monitoring and reporting on a regular, consistent basis. This position will support management to identify non-compliance and assist in managing improvements in the performance of crews. This will enable WCC staff to ensure compliance with the customer specification, best work practices, as well as applicable codes and laws.
Transportation will be provided for this position to travel throughout the northwest on WCC construction projects, and may require the candidate stay on the project through completion.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Observing and documenting work processes;
Completing necessary QC documentation and forms;
Reviewing project specifications;
Monitoring project for non-compliance issues;
Completing daily progress reports;
Ensure all work is correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken;
Witnessing site inspections;
Ensure that all inspection reports are accurate and that all attached documents are current;
Prepare nonconformance reports for the QA/QC manager and assist in developing corrective actions; and
Assist the QA/QC Manager in resolving any discrepancies and ambiguities.
A successful candidate will possess the following:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent;
Related prior experience a plus;
Outstanding computer skills;
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; and

Utility Construction Company has immediate opening traveling the Western US for a team oriented General Foreman/Superintendent with a solid background and work history in Overhead Transmission.
This position will be responsible for overseeing day to day operations of crew(s) on transmission utility line construction projects and will work closely with project management staff in the headquarter office. Responsibilities also include handling paperwork associated with the crew and project.
Requirements include:
- Five years experience as a General Foreman/Superintendent
- Five years 230kV / 500kV Transmission experience
- General Computer skills
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of staff and personality types
- Ability to manage crew productively, efficiently, and provide coaching for safe working conditions
- Ability to read maps, design drawings and wiring diagrams
- Current 1st Aid/CPR Certification
- Must have current CDL and maintain valid driver license

Requirements include:

CHANGE ORDER SPECIALIST / CLAIMS ANALYST - Brea
Immediate opening in our Brea, CA Office for an experienced Change Order Specialist / Claims Analyst to handle the development, submittal, and negotiation of change orders and other contractual documents.
This is an office position with the majority of work hours to be spent in an office setting and field site visits in the project area as required; minimal travel outside the area may be required. This position will support our regional Brea office as well as team with the headquarter office when required.
Responsibilities include:
Develop, submit and negotiate change orders;
Monitor and manage contract compliance including change orders;
Analyze documents to ensure compliance with policies and other requirements;
Identify risks and issues, and suggest alternatives that lead to the best solution;
Proactively work with the client and Wilson teams to resolve contractual issues, interfacing with legal counsel as needed;
Respond to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions;
Ensure all contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly; and
Acts as liaison between Wilson Construction and Subcontractors.
Requirements include:
10-years experience working with construction contracts and documents;
Bachelors Degree;
Certification a plus (CFCM, CCCM, CPCM);
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook);
Proficiency with Primavera P6;
In-depth knowledge of contract law;
Understanding of project management methodologies and tools with prior exposure to project management practices;
Knowledge of scheduling and how it relates to delays within construction projects;
Prior experience applying contract management fundamentals to recommend a course of action to supervisor;
Excellent problem-solving capability and out of the box thinking to ensure forward movement in contracting process;
Strong negotiation, facilitation and communication skills;

This is an office position requiring a high-level professional with the majority of work hours to be spent in an office setting. Candidate will be required to take full ownership of the current project schedule and work independently or with a team of current schedulers to ensure schedule development and maintenance of the highest quality. This position will manage and utilize the project schedule for the processing of monthly progress payments and for the accurate submission of daily schedule updates and look-aheads to the project team and project owner.
