IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN – CANBY

​Title: IT Support Technician
Location: Canby, OR

Seeking an entry level IT Support Technician to assist in handling the day to day IT functions at our headquarter office under the supervision of the IT Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Install/build, test, and maintain a variety of computer and network hardware and software systems including laptops, desktops, communications equipment (digital & IP phones, video conference), smart phones, and office equipment; perform diagnostics tests, modify or repair hardware systems;
· Install virus protection, and enable automatic updates using established methods;
· Provide front end support to office and field personnel, both onsite and remotely via email, phone, remote session, and face to face;
· Assist users in troubleshooting and resolving problems with hardware, software, office and communications equipment, network and remote connectivity;
· Relocate users as required, when they are assigned to new office or work area. This includes breaking down, transporting and setting up equipment, checking connectivity, and ensuring satisfactory operational status of the users in their new areas;

This position will share responsibility in the daily activities of processing approximately 400 to 500 multi-state, multi-union, in-house payroll checks on a weekly basis.

This position will be responsible for the following duties under the supervision of the Payroll Manager:
· Audits timesheets for completeness and accuracy;
· Accurately enters & processes multi-state, multi-union cost coded payroll;

Our Environmental Department specializes in environmental compliance management as it relates to the electrical utility construction industry. Our team brings expertise to construction projects in the areas of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan development and implementation, biological and cultural mitigation measure compliance, onsite inspection and monitoring, permitting, mitigation planning, restoration and environmental training.

The Environmental Specialist is responsible for estimating environmental costs of construction projects, as well as coordinating and planning with project teams to facilitate construction progress while ensuring implementation of environmental requirements. Our ideal candidate is an experienced manager of environmental compliance on electrical utility construction projects, has demonstrated experience implementing and monitoring environmental compliance mitigation measures, and has a nationally recognized stormwater certification, as well as QSD/QSP certification.

Essential job duties will include the following:
· Estimating project environmental costs;
· Tracking current bids and projects;
· Conducting field monitoring and inspection for environmental compliance (hydrocarbon spills, erosion and sediment control, sensitive resource mitigation);
· Availability to travel to projects as needed, typically 1–10 nights per month;
· Availability to spend extended periods of time at project locations distant from the Ranch Cordova, CA office;
· Developing plans to meet mitigation requirements on a given project;
· Writing and obtaining permits; and
· Interaction and effective communication with all levels of Project Management staff, customers and vendors.

Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with proven environmental compliance experience; graduate degree preferred;
· Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a related/relevant field (storm water, geology, hydrology, environmental permitting, etc.);
· Demonstrated experience working in California field environments and/or on construction projects with California environmental compliance requirements;
· Experience conducting field work and documenting protocol and processes;
· Capable of performing strenuous fieldwork and walking long distances;
· Knowledge of and familiarity with operation of construction job-sites and reading plans;
· General knowledge of environmental laws, regulations and permitting at the federal, state and local levels;
· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with various levels of staff and personality types;
· Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/Powerpoint);
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills including:
· Coordinating, tracking, and meeting deadlines;
